Wash day | May 17 Moisture recovery!

2015.05.15 products

Last week I did a protein treatment with ORS Hair Mayonnaise and I also did s search & destroy method. I started real strong with my treatment and at the ending I was slacking off. After a protein treatment it’s important to deep condition your hair with a moisture based product. I don’t know why but I decided to do a quick treatment with TRESemmé Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner. This is a light conditioner – perfect to co-wash with, but not for a deep condition –. But oke my hair felt good after I was done with the routine. After a view days I noticed that my hair really needed some moisture and what did I do …. Nothing – ugh -. Oke nothing is a strong word, but I didn’t moisturize my hair daily as I should do.

So with this was routine I decided that I will only use moisture based product.

Step 1
I started with a pre poo treatment using Organix Hydrating Macadamia Oil Conditioner. In small sections I applied the product to my hair. The product was left on my hair for 30 minutes without heat.

Step 2
Washing Time!! My hair really needed a wash. It was so dirty that I didn’t even wanted to part my hair when I was styling my hair. In sections of 4 I washed my hair with Mizani Botanifying Conditioning Shampoo. This product is becoming my go to shampoo for moisture.

Step 3
With a cotton t-shirt I got rid of the excuses water. To bring moisture back to my hair. I had to use my love Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner mixed with some oil (Jamaican Black Castor Oil x Peppermint Oil x Rosemary Oil). I only used the Jamaican version because I don’t have the regular Castor oil – time to shop for some products – I didn’t pay much attention to the time, but I definitely deep condition for me than an hour.

Step 4
Okey now it was time for some protein. I sprayed CHI Keratin Mist all over my hair – in small sections –. A view minutes later I then applied Macadamia Natural Oil Nourishing Leave-In Creme and sealed with Macadamia Natural Oil Treatment.

Because I’m 13 weeks post I didn’t want to air dry. To stretch my new growth I sectioned my hair in four ponytails and tuck my ends. With a Denman brush I made sure my hair was smooth. I used a hooded o dry my hair. I sat under the hooded dryer for 1 ½ hour.

I was really happy with the results. My hair was shiny, soft and moisturized. Before I went to bed I lightly moisturized with ORS Olive Oil Girls Moisturizing Styling Lotion. Doing this is making sure that my hair is still moisture the next day, because only a leave in creme doesn’t work for me.

Moisture all the way!!
