At this point I’m 18 weeks post relaxer and I debating with myself when I should get a relaxer. My new grow feels good, soft and manageable. Only the new growth at my edges and nape are rough, but I don’t mind that. But I’m looking for a regimen to fix the texture at my nape and edges –  it’s kind of my problem area-

Shampoo treatment
I haven’t done a pre poo treatment for a while now, and it’s just because of the laziness – I need to stop being so lazy-. In two sections I washed my hair with Mizani Botanifying Conditioning Shampoo. During the wash I felt that my hair was over moisturized. – When your hair feels like an elastic band when stretching you know what time it is –

Deep condition treatment
Because my hair was over moisturized it was time for a protein treatment, so that my hair will get the right balance. Off course I had to use ORS Hair Mayonnaise Conditioner – my fav protein conditioner – In sections of four I applied the product to my hair like I was relaxing my hair. I made sure that there was enough product on every strand. With my hooded dryer I deep condition for 20 minutes.

Whenever you use a protein conditioner it’s important to follow with a moisturizing conditioner. To bring back the moisture to my hair I used Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisture Conditioner. I mixed the product with some Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Peppermint Oil. With my hooded dryer I deep condition for 30 minutes.

Leave in treatment
With a cotton t-shirt I wrapped my hair for drying purposes. After 10 minutes I use my water mix (aqua & Rose water) and spritz my scalp with it. In four sectons I applied Macadamia Natural Oil Nourishing Leave-In Creme and sealed with Macadamia Natural Oil Treatment.

It was a good thing that I deed a protein treatment. Plus my hair was in good shape, soft and moisturized.

Balance it out!!
