It’s that time again, the laziness is kicking in. Being 17 weeks post relaxer, I should be more consistent with washing my hair, but yeah here we are again.
STEP 1 | SHAMPOO
To wash my hair I used ORS Monoï Oil Fortifying Shampoo. In sections of two I washed my hair. Lately I have been washing my hair in two sections instead of four sections. Not that it’s a bad thing, but the switch is funny to me. During the wash I could feel that my hair was ‘over’ moisturized. How? Well I always take a view hair stands and stretch it. When a strand has an elastic feel to it (just like an elastic rubber) then my hair is ‘over’ moisturized. That’s a sign for me that I need to do a protein treatment.
After washing I wrapped a t-shirt around my head and let it dry my hair.
STEP 2 | DEEP CONDITION
Because I started my routine in the evening, I wasn’t feeling to do a ‘proper’ protein treatment. To keep it simple, I used ORS Replenishing Conditioner and mixed it with some oils (Castor Oil x Vitamin E Oil x Peppermint Oil x Rosemary Oil). For more than hour I deep condition without heat.
ORS Replenishing Conditioner is definitely BAE! My hair felt good, but also THICK. I can say with this stretch my hair growing nicely.
STEP 3 | LEAVE IN
To keep up with using ‘light’ protein products, I had to use Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream. In sections of four I applied the product to my hair and used ORS Monoï Oil Fusion to seal. Because of my new growth I only applied ORS Hair Intense Moisture to my edges and nape area. By doing this I make sure that my new growth will be soft and moisturized.
As usual I clipped my hair up and let my hair air-dry.
