Wash Day Routine | Relaxed Hair

SUNDAY 17 DECEMBER

In week 49 I was supposed to do a protein treatment, and guess what …. I wasn’t able to because I ran out of ApHogee Two Step Protein Treatment. Last week I decided to combine clarifying and protein treatment together. It is really important for to stick to the monthly routine!

STEP 1 | PRE-POO
I keep on coming with new ideas. I have been using oil for the last past week to pre-poo, but there is something new. I bought some Aloe Vera Juice for my health, but I decided to also incorporate in my hair routine. Aloe Vera is good for moisture and it has a lot of benefits. Because I already use a light conditioner to pre-poo, I took the following steps. I poured a little bit of Herbal Essences Hello Hydration in a spray bottle and added some Aloe Vera juice & water. That is my pre-poo mix!

In sections of two I sprayed the mixture to my hair, concentrating on my ends and scalp. Clipped my hair and let it sit for 30 minutes or so. For the coming weeks I will be using this mixture to see what for benefits it will have for my hair, but I can say that my hair was really moist and shiny.

STEP 2 | SHAMPOO
Time to CLARIFY! For shampooing my hair I used ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo. It’s a neutralizing shampoo, but I use it to clarify my hair. It really gets rid of all the ‘junk’.

With a cotton t-shirt I dried my hair. Wrapped it for 15 minutes.

STEP 3 | PROTEIN TREATMENT
The best part! Strengthen my hair! I wanted to buy ApHogee protein treatment, but decided to go with ORS Hair Mayonnaise. This product is easy and simple and always comes through! In ‘small’ sections I applied the product my hair and really concentrating on the ends. After applying I sat under the hooded dryer for 30 minutes and let my hair rest afterwards.

The power of protein!! My hair felt good, it was full, shiny and soft!

STEP 4 | LEAVE-IN
The moment you because lazy … I wrapped a cotton t-shirt around my hair and let it on for a looooong time. Three hours later, my hair was semi dry, so I decided to use my Aloe Vera mixture to give my hair the moisture that I needed. Styled my hair in a high bun and went to bed!

Do you use Aloe Vera for your hair? Share your experience with my. I would like to know how other ladies use this element.

The journey to healthy thick hair continues!
