Saturday 25 November
This week I have been focusing on protecting my hair against the cold weather. Sometimes it sucks living in the Netherlands, it was a rainy week. To keep it simple, I styled my hair in two cornrows.
STEP 1 | PRE-POO
To give my wash routine a boost I decided to do an oil treatment. I warmed up my Coconut oil and in sections of four I applied the oil to my hair and scalp. Started at the end and worked my way on up. I went a little overboard with the oil but it got the job done! I let the oil sit on my hair for 30 minutes without using heat.
STEP 2 | SHAMPOOING
For washing my hair I had to use ORS Monoi Oil Anti-Breakage Fortifying Shampoo. I can’t leave this shampoo alone! Off course in sections of four I washed my hair. During the wash I noticed that the hair loss was really minimal. I’m not sure if it is because the oil treatment, but I’m going to keep my eye on it!
STEP 3 | DEEP CONDITION
The plan was to use
ORS Replenishing Conditioner but I finished the bottle. Thankfully I’m a product junkie. I always have a product in my stash. For conditioning I used Mizani Moisturfusion Silk Cream Conditioner. It’s been a while that I have used this product. In ‘small’ sections I applied the product to my hair. To boost up the process I sat under a hooded dryer for 15 minutes.
STEP 4 | LEAVE-IN
To continue with moisturizing my hair I used Cantu Argan Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream and sealed with Coconut Oil! Normally I would choose to air-dry my hair, but for the coming months I will use a hooded dryer to dry my hair.
My hair loves a good wash! There is shine and the softness is everything. I need to continue to keep up with my regimen.
Soon I will start a Castor oil challenge. Who is with me?!
The journey to healthy thick hair continues!
