Wash Routine For Texlaxed Hair

Wash day texlaxed hair | Saturday 13 January

Normally I would do a protein and clarifying treatment every 4 weeks, but my hair was in need of a protein treatment. It was time to get rid of the build-up of hair products. For the last two weeks I really focused on moisturizing my hair on a daily base. But I noticed that moisturizing too much makes my hair dull. Don’t get me wrong, I will keep on moisturizing, but I need to co-wash during the week to keep the balance.

STEP 1 | SHAMPOO
To clarify my hair I used ORS Neutralizing Shampoo. In sections of four I shampooed my hair and washed twice. This shampoo really strips all the oils away. After washing my hair felt rough, that’s a sign that it is time to condition.

STEP 2 | CONDITIONER
I’m back with adding oils to my conditioner. To boost up the ORS Hair Mayonnaise conditionerI added Castor Oil x Garlic Oil x Peppermint Oil x Rosemary oil. In sections of 4 I added the mixture to my hair. My hair was really happy. I sat under a hooded dryer for 20 minutes or so. My hair felt good. Nice and fluffy. I will keep saying this. This is a really good protein treatment. It strengthens your hair without making it hard and dry.

STEP 3 | LEAVE-IN
To continue with getting my hair stronger I used Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream. Per section I used a small amount and then sealed my hair with African Pride Shea Butter Miracle Growth Oil. In sections of four I clipped my hair and let it air-dry.
