Hard protein treatment with ApHogee

hard protein treatment

New month has come and I haven’t completed my hair treatments what I planned to do in August. So with this wash routine it’s time to do a hard protein treatment, because my hair was looking dull and lifeless.

Step 1 | Shampoo
When doing a hard protein treatment I always start off with washing my hair. I’m going to be honest I was tried, because I had some engagements in the morning. That resulted that I washed my hair late in the afternoon. For shampooing my hair I used ApHogee Deep Moisture Shampoo and washed my hair twice. After washing I wrapped my hair in a cotton t-shirt and let it soak the excesses water for 10 minutes.

“Even when you are tried, you still got to wash your hair”

Step 2 | Protein treatment

In sections of four I sprayed the ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment over the length of my hair. After massing the product into my hair, really concentrating on my new growth and ends I used a blow dryer to harden my hair.

In this video you will see how I use the product. Only thing different is that I use a spray bottle now. That makes it easier to apply the product to my hair.

Step 3 | Moisture rich deep conditioner
After a protein always follow up with a moisture based conditioner. To give my hair the moisture that it needs I did something different. To condition my hair I planned to use KeraCare Humecto Crème Conditioner, but there was one downfall … my bottle was almost empty … so I had to be creative.

“I need to stack up products again”

So for the creative part I mixed Aloe Vera Juice & Honey and added it to the conditioner. Honey is great humectant and Aloe Vera Juice is giving my life. I will make a separate Aloe Vera Juice post and share all the benefits. One thing I can say about the mixture … it had soooo much slip, my hair was thanking me.

After sitting under the hooded dryer for 20 minutes and another 30 minutes without heat, my hair felt like butter.

Thanks to the hard protein treatment my hair is alive again and ready for the month September.

Talking about September, in a few weeks it’s my birthday and to celebrate that I’m going to do a give a way. If you want to know what my give a way is going to be about … then I will advise you to subscribe to  Instagram “EEMSDIARY”.
