For the wash routine I decided to do a ‘hard’ protein treatment, because last week I texlaxed my hair. I can’t remember when I did a protein treatment – I really need to do better –
The routine started with washing my hair. As always I shampooed my hair in four sections using ApHogee Deep Moisture shampoo. The hair loss during the wash was minimal. After that I wrapped my hair with a towel and let it sit for 15 minutes, to soak all the water.

Yeah I really wasn’t feeling for a wash day, but it had to be done. So I decided to keep my wash day short and simple.
I really had a hard time to choose a product for my wash. And then I remembered that I bought a new shampoo product in October, Organix Revitalizing Pomegranate Green Tea Shampoo. This is my third Organix shampoo that I’m trying out and I don’t think that the shampoos are a good fit for me. While washing my hair I wasn’t able to run my finger through my hair. Sometimes I like to finger detangle my hair, but no ma’am my hair was stiff.

It’s been a while I used a clarifying Shampoo. The last time was in the month Ocotber. I try to clarify my hair once a month. For the wash I used Tresemme Deep cleansing shampoo. – my sister washed my hair for me. She washed my hair two times in sections of four- This wash was quick and simple, as it should be.
Although I used a clarifying shampoo, my hair wasn’t extremely dry. Last week I did a pre poo treatment while using a steamer. I think I applied too much peppermint oil to my scalp and now it’s a bit sensitive. So it was a must to clarify.
Last week Saturday I flat ironed my hair. I noticed when my hair is straight I really don’t moisturize my hair. That a big no no, but I do it every time. I need to find a light moisturizer to keep my hair healthy when it’s straight.
Before the pre poo treatment I make sure that my hair is detangled. During detangling there was a lot of hair lost. That’s what I get for not moisturizing my hair the whole week. – my hair is really sensitive when I don’t moisturize – I started the treatment with applying my oil mix (Jamaican Black Castor x Peppermint Oil) on the scalp. In sections of 4 I gently massaged the oil on my scalp –this moment is really relaxing – After that I applied Organix Pomegranate Green Tea Conditioner on the rest of my hair. This time I decided to use my steamer for my pre poo treatment. Woei after steaming my scalp was sensitive. I think I applied too much of my oil mix, because the peppermint was on fire!! I’m really loving the steamer.
It was all about heat this washing routine. I’m planning to use heat (a hooded dryer or a steamer) regularly because of the cold weather. My hair had a good week. Almost every morning I moisturized with ORS HAIRepair Intense Moisture Crème. Why in the morning. Well I was lazy to moisturize my hair in the evening.
I started with a pre-poo oil treatment. I made a new oil mixture and I’m loving it – post about the mix coming soon – . In four sections I applied the oil. I really focused on my ends. I still suffering from split ends, it’s driving me CRAZY!! For some stimulation I applied Jamaican Black Castor Oil x Peppermint oil on my scalp. When applying the oil I massage my scalp. – when I was massaging my scalp I could feel my lovely new growth – I used a hooded dryer for a hour.
Saturday!!! It was time to wash my hair. During the week I have moisturized only twice and have been protective styling by braiding my hair. Last week during my wash routine I did the search and destroy method. I really need to concentrate on my ends, because the split ends are driving me crazy.
I decided to clarify my hair. I need to do better with clarifying. For the wash part I used Tresemme Deep cleansing shampoo and Organix hydrating macadamia oil shampoo. This is my first time using two shampoos in one wash. The reason for using 2 products is because a clarifying shampoo strips down my hair – and yes the Tresemme shampoo really cleaned my hair and scalp – So I decided for the second wash I will use Organix shampoo to bring back the moisture.
