During the week my schedule was a bit off. For example, moisturizing my hair in the morning and not at night. Then there was some days I didn’t use a scarf at night. On the positive side I did more protective styles, like cornrow braid or cornrow twist my hair.
Pre poo treatment
It’s been a while, but it was definitely time for a pre-poo. I used Extra Virgin Coconut Oil all over my hair and Jamaican Black Castor Oil on my scalp. I did this treatment for an hour without heat. While I was applying the oil to my hair I noticed I had a lot of hair loss. The hair loss comes from not moisturizing my hair properly during the week.
The last couple week I have been concentrating with getting rid of my split ends. In my recent post I mentioned that I need to take a break with using a flat iron on my hair. I’m really suffering from long split ends. My goals for this year is to reach BSL (Bra Strap Length), but first my main focus is retaining my length.
At this moment I’m 17 weeks post. I planned to texlaxed my hair at 20 weeks post.
PRE POO TREATMENT
More and more and loving doing a pre poo treatment with oils. In sections of four I applied an oil mix (Grape seed x Sesame seed x Coconut oil) to the length of my hair, concentration on my ends. For my scalp I used a different oil mix (Jamaican Black Castor x Coconut oil). I let the oils sit on my hair for about an hour.
This week I was free from work. So I decided to wash my hair on a Wednesday. I have been slacking again sleeping without a scarf during the week. I need to buy a satin pillow case to protect my hair.
For the pre poo routine I mixed Organix Pomegranate Green Tea Conditioner with the new oil mix(Grape Seed x Sesame Seed x Coconut). Before applying the conditioner I damp my hair with regular water. In sections of four I applied a decent amount to the hair and made sure that my ends was covered. With this routine I didn’t pay any attention to the time. When think about I let the treatment sit for more than an hour.
For my wash treatment I started with a pre-poo treatment. I used two different oils. On my left side I applies Sesame seed oil and on the right side my Coconut oil. Why 2 different oils?? I’m experimenting with the Sesame seed oil. On my scalp I applied Jamaican Black Castor oil x peppermint oil.
I was busy with cleaning my room and other stuff, so I left the treatment on my hair for about 2 hours. The peppermint oil was in full effect. I love the tingle ling feeling.
I washed my hair with Nexxus Therappe Luxurious Moisturizing Shampoo. I wished my love for the conditioner was the same as for the shampoo. But this shampoo is not the business for me. But why did you use it? My goal is to finish my products. The reason I don’t like this shampoo is because there is no slip.
I have been good with my shopping habits. I’m trying my best not to buy new hair products. Sometimes I even fight with myself – lol – Is there a cure for a product junkie. But last month I did some shopping and it was all about the OILS!!
