5 ways to level up your self-care journey

Self-care is all about bringing out your best self. It’s all about being the woman that YOU want to be. The woman that God designed YOU to be. As you are reading this, you may be thinking “I am not the woman that I desired to be”. Let me first say, life is a journey and it’s okay that you still need to work on YOU. Do not be too hard on yourself, but rather focus on the work that needs to be done. That’s why I am sharing 5 self-care activities that will surely level-up your self-care journey.

Journaling

Your journal is your personal diary, your safe place where you can write down all your dreams, goals, what you are grateful for or current life events. Everything concerning you can be writing down in your journal.

Journaling creates a space for you to stand still and be in tune with yourself. The other side of journaling is the amazing personal growth benefits. For example;  mental clarity or being more in tunes with your emotions. It’s also a great way to track your goals that you have set for yourself.

Working out

You probably first think of looking good, but there is more. Working out will also mentally and physically level you up. It will boost up your self-esteem and can even improve your mindset on being more disciplined and consistent.

As you work out on a regular basis your will challenge yourself more. Like when it comes to certain exercises you will add more weight or do even more difficult exercises.
On the mental health side, working out is a great way to relieve stress, reducing anxiety, depression and negative mood.

Listening to podcast & reading books

This two go hand in hand for me. Listen to or reading books that will support your self-growth journey is another great way to level up. Topics like productivity, finance, woman, emotional intelligence and mindset all play a part in your personal self-growth.

Look into the topics that are important to YOU. What are the areas you need to improve or what are things you simple want to learn. Listening to someone else their story, experience or reading books can give you insight or tools that can you further with growing.

Relationship with God

Save the best for last! Having a relationship with God will bring your closer to yourself. God created you with a purpose and is the one giving you the strength to deal with life. Having God in the middle of your life will have a great impact on your self-worth. Knowing that you are a child of God will level you up to continue to bring out your best self.

This are the 5 self-care activities that will level up your self-care journey. You don’t have to do them all at once. Start with the one that speaks to you and build it up from there.
