Creme of Nature Pure Honey
In December I decided to use one specific brand for my hair journey. My timeline went crazy when Creme of Nature came out with their new brand line “Pure Honey“. I’m a product junkie so I had to try this product out. Every week I will post a video about my first impression. Wash day 25th May ‘14
That moment that you planned your day for your wash routine anddd then you become lazy -_- What it happened was * lool *. I wanted to do ‘hard’ protein treatment with Aphogee two-step protein treatment, record my search destroy method and do a length check. Eeuhmm well it didn’t go as planned.
Last week I flat ironed my hair for an family occasion that I went to. Euuhmm I did something bad. I flat ironed my hair again, Sunday before I went to church. I’m slacking .. big time.
Step 1
Before the wash I did a search and destroy method. This is a method to get rid of split ends. So far I’m doing a good job, doing this method monthly J. One of myhair problems is the fact that I have thin ends, so I’m taking baby step to solve it. -
Wash day 29 March 2014
It’s been tooo long !!! My laziness is getting worse and it shows. My hair is screaming for some TLC. Last week I haven’t been moisturizing each night and sleeping with a scarf. I have noticed that my hair is really weak, so I decided it was time for a protein treatment and I’m also planning to relax my hair… soon. Thinking about it ‘when was my last protein treatment?’ I had to look it up ‘ohw snap .. the last time was in December ’13’. My goal is once a month – shame on me –
After pre-poo PRE-POO
I started off with an oil treatment as my pre-poo. I used Jamaican Black Castor mixed with peppermint oil on the scalp. In section I massaged the oil on the scalp. I made sure that I gave my problems are some extra love. – I will write an article about my problems areas and how I take care of it- . when I was done with my scalp, it was time to apply my pre-poo oil mix (Coconut Oil x Olive Oil) on the hair. I covered my hair with a plastic bag and on top of that I placed a scarf for some heat.
I pre-poo for about 2 hours, I didn’t mean to. I was Cinderella for the day, so I had to cook diner for the family.

Wish ‘hair products’ list
Last year I made a list for myself about products that I wanted to try out. Unfortunately I’m a product junkie. I am always buying stuff and the bad thing is some I don’t even use. So the list was really helpful for me.
My list in 2013
The products that I bought:
– Salerm Protein Shampoo
– Creme of Nature Moisture Extreme conditioner
– Mane N Tail Deep Moisturizing Conditioner
– Creme of Nature Argan Oil Strength & Shine leave-in
– Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter
– Jamaican Black Caster OilI’m in love with some of the products, and when I say in love … ow boy I’m hooked, lool. My number one love is the Elasta QP Olive Oil Mango Butter. This creme really .. really helped me. I will do a review about it. And the second place goes to …….. Creme of Nature Moisture Extreme Conditioner. This conditoner … what!! Lool. I’m so glad that I found this conditioner.
From all the products that I purchased I’m not sure if I will buy

Wash day 15 February ‘14
So I finally decided to wash my hair. What I’m doing lately is really really bad. On February 9th I took down my u-part wig. It was two weeks already and my edges needed a break. But I was sooo tired that I really didn’t had the energy to go and wash my hair. So I told myself I will do it on Monday, after work * side eye *.
Step 1
The last time I clarify my hair was in September. I need to step my game up, but yeah it’s time to clarify my hair. For this routine I used ORS Olive Oil Creamy Aloe Shampoo. I sectioned my hair in 8 parts. Working in parts works for me. after the wash my hair was rough, this shampoo really clarifies. When I was done washing I applied Redken Real Control Conditioner for some boost. I’m starting to like this conditioner. It’s a light weight conditioner so I left in for 5 minutes.
Step 2
For about 6 minutes I t-shirt dried my hair. In the mean time I mixed my conditioner with some oils (Creme of Nature Professional Moisture Extreme Conditioner with castor, grape seed, peppermint, rosemary oil and glycerine). I deep conditioned for 45 minutes with a hooded dryer. When I’m done conditioning I let my hair cool off for 5 minutes. This conditioner is definitely a K E E P E R.
Step 3
I always start late with my routine, I don’t know why I always do that. In the evening I had a date with my girlfriends. I applied Garnier Fructis Nutri repair 3 leave-in all over my hair and without detangling my hair I put it in a high bun and I was ready to go. I didn’t use a lot of product because the next day I planned to flat iron my hair.
Washing your hair is always a good thing. I’m 18 weeks post and I love how my new growth feels.

Wash day 17 November ’13
Step [1]
Before putting any product on my hair, I start with detangling my hair in four sections. After detangling my hair I began with a pre-poo aka hot oil treatment. I applied my oil mix (castor + olive oil) all over my hair and scalp. After that I cover my hair with a plastic bag and sit under the dryer for 30 minutes. After the treatment my hair is so shiny. I did notice a difference with my last pre-poo. This time my hair was a bit stiff. I need to keep an eye on that.
