It’s been 4 weeks now that I texlaxed my hair. Since July 18, I haven’t done a protein treatment. So you know what time it is.
Maybe you have notice, but the brand of choice for my wash routine has been Mizani. I bought a view products that I wanted to try out. For this was routine I used Mizani Puriphying Shampoo– to clarify – and Kerafuse Intense Strengthening Treatment– for protein – This was my first time using the Kerafuse Treatment.
1 -> in sections of four I shampooed my hair. Mind you it has been two weeks that I haven’t washed my hair – my hair was screaming for a wash -. Although It’s been a while that I washed my hair, I was still happy, because the hair loss was minimal.
2 -> with a cotton t-shirt I blot my hair. The Kerafuse Treatment has funny texture. It’s like a thick paste. Because it was the first using the product I didn’t know how much to apply. So I didn’t go overboard and used just enough product to cover my hair with it. The directions tells u to sit under a dryer for 10 minutes and I listened. I used my hooded dryer for 10 minutes.
I’m still on my stretch. The plan was to relax my hair last Sunday. Well I’m still debating if I need to relax my hair. This is so funny, because if have never been in this situation that I didn’t know when I should relax.

Pre poo treatment
It’s been a while but I missed pre pooing my hair before a wash. I applied Coconut oil on my hair and Jamaican Black Castor oil on my scalp. After an hour pre pooing without heat, it was time to wash my hair.
It’s been a long time that I wrote a post about my washday, but don’t worry I’m back. This couple of weeks has been a bit of a struggle with my hair. The struggle are the hair loss and split ends. I have been lazy with moisturizing my hair at night and I notice that my hair reacts immediately to that – dry hair means breakage –
For the routine I wanted to start with a pre-poo treatment, but I changed my mind – laziness -. In two section I washed my hair using Mizani Moisturfusion Milk Bath Shampoo. I think it’s my third time using this shampoo and I like the fact that is has a milky texture and I doesn’t dry my hair out. My hair feels good after the wash. It’s bouncy and I can easily glide my finger through my hair.
At this moment I’m 19 weeks post and I am happy with my new growth. I can still manage. I said that I will relax my hair when I reach 20 weeks post, but I first want to do a protein treatment to prep my hair for a relaxer. During the week my nape suffered from dryness. I would moisturize at night, but in the morning it was still dry – I need to find a remedy for my nape -.
Pre poo treatment
For the treatment I used the oil mix (Jamaican Black Castor Oil x Coconut Oil) for the scalp and (Grape seed x Sesame seed x Coconut oil) for the hair. Before applying the oils I warmed it up with hot water. – I never use a microwave to warm up oils – for an hour I let the oils sit on my hair.
Yeah I really wasn’t feeling for a wash day, but it had to be done. So I decided to keep my wash day short and simple.
I really had a hard time to choose a product for my wash. And then I remembered that I bought a new shampoo product in October, Organix Revitalizing Pomegranate Green Tea Shampoo. This is my third Organix shampoo that I’m trying out and I don’t think that the shampoos are a good fit for me. While washing my hair I wasn’t able to run my finger through my hair. Sometimes I like to finger detangle my hair, but no ma’am my hair was stiff.
I have been good with my shopping habits. I’m trying my best not to buy new hair products. Sometimes I even fight with myself – lol – Is there a cure for a product junkie. But last month I did some shopping and it was all about the OILS!!
First I had to buy a new relaxer. After 22 weeks it’s was time for the creamy crack. I switch back to the no-lye formula. I also bought some staple product
