    Wash day || 20th September ’14

    Since I relaxed my hair .. smh I have been neglecting my hair really bad. So today I decided to give my hair that extra TLC. I’m also going to change my regimen, but first thing first. [1] #PrePoo: when I do a pre-poo treatment I will use an oil or a light conditioner. This time I decided to make a mixture of the Redken Real Control Conditioner with Coconut Oil. I wanted to try something new. In mind this mixture will give my hair an extra boost. Plus I don’t use the Redken Conditioner that often. In sections of 4 I applied the mixture to my hair, concentrating on…

    Washday June 9 ‘ 14

    Normally Sunday is my washday, but I was free from work so I planned to wash my hair on Monday. I don’t know why I keep on doing this. I haven’t been faithful to my regimen and my hair is screaming for help. Step 1  I started the routine with a new shampoo that I bought in February ‘Mizani Moisturfusion Milk Bath’. This shampoo had the same smell as the conditioner. I washed my hair twice in sections. The shampoo has a nice feel on my hair. the texture of the shampoo feels like a light conditioner that you will to co-wash. This month I will be using this shampoo…

    Wash day Sunday 27th April

    Ow boy my hair needed a wash. I’m not the type to wash my hair two times a week, but sometimes I think it is necessary. I started off with a wash. I used Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo. As always I wash my hair in 4 sections. During the wash I detangled my hair with my fingers. When I was done, my hair was really fluffy, and the funny part is I still don’t know if this shampoo is a KEEPER!! I couldn’t  find my t-shirt so I dried my hair with a towel. After that I let my hair air dry for a little bit (15 minutes) and…

    Wash day 25 January ’14

    One week has gone by and I’m ready for my protective style again. I live in the Netherlands and the weather here SUCKS!!! So to protect my lovey hair I will be rocking my u-part wig with a closure. Step 1 I started my routine with a pre-poo oil treatment.  I used my oil mix (click on the link, to see what my pre-poo oil mix is). In small section I applied the oil on my scalp and hair. I make sure that I massage my scalp with the oil and concentrate on my ends. After that I used my hooded dryer for about 30 minutes. I love the way…

    Wash day 17 November ’13

    Step [1] Before putting any product on my hair, I start with detangling my hair in four sections. After detangling my hair I began with a pre-poo aka hot oil treatment. I applied my oil mix (castor + olive oil) all over my hair and scalp. After that I cover my hair with a plastic bag and sit under the dryer for 30 minutes. After the treatment my hair is so shiny. I did notice a difference with my last pre-poo. This time my hair was a bit stiff.  I need to keep an eye on that.

    Wash day 20th October ’13

    [1] I started my wash day with a pre-poo. I really need to stick with my weekly pre poo treatment. For my scalp I used an oil mix (castor + peppermint oil). On my hair I applied Herbal Essence ‘Hello Hydration’. Before applying the conditioner, I sprayed my hair with water, just to make my hair a bit damp.  I really like this conditioner for a pre-poo and co-wash treatment. I pre-pooed my hair for 30 minutes without heat. [2] I used Nexxus ‘Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing shampoo’. This is my 3rd time using this shampoo and to be honest I don’t find it moisturizing. It does make my hair soft, but…
