    Relaxer after 20 weeks!

    Saturday 14 July

After stretching my relaxer for 20 weeks it’s time to telax my new growth.  This stretch has really been a crazy rid. As my hair is growing nice and thick my laziness has put me in a position that I wasn’t able to retain my length. My hair was screaming

    ‘Girl it’s time to telax’.

    Wash day | April 25!

    2015.04.25 Hair products

My monthly regimen is a mess. As always I can’t remember when I use a clarifying shampoo for my wash. I knew it was that time again, but I didn’t want to clarify my hair – strange right– I was in battle with myself, because I really wanted to use a moisturized shampoo, but it was time to clarify.

    Step [1]

The first step was washing my hair with ORS Olive Oil Creamy Aloe Shampoo for a light clarify treatment. Beside this shampoo I really don’t have a ‘legit’ clarifying shampoo – shopping soon 😉  –

I washed my hair once with the product and then followed up with Mizani Botanifying Conditioning Shampoo. I really like the texture of the Mizani Shampoo. During the wash I could easily finger detangle my hair and my hair was so soft.

    2015.01.21 wash day

At this moment I’m 19 weeks post and I am happy with my new growth. I can still manage. I said that I will relax my hair when I reach 20 weeks post, but I first want to do a protein treatment to prep my hair for a relaxer. During the week my nape suffered from dryness. I would moisturize at night, but in the morning it was still dry  – I need to find a remedy for my nape -.

    Pre poo treatment

For the treatment I used the oil mix (Jamaican Black Castor Oil x Coconut Oil) for the scalp and (Grape seed x Sesame seed x Coconut oil) for the hair. Before applying the oils I warmed it up with hot water. – I never use a microwave to warm up oils – for an hour I let the oils sit on my hair.

    2015.01.04 wash day products (eemsdiary)

The last couple week I have been concentrating with getting rid of my split ends. In my recent post I mentioned that I need to take a break with using a flat iron on my hair. I’m really suffering from long split ends. My goals for this year is to reach BSL (Bra Strap Length), but first my main focus is retaining my length.

At this moment I’m 17 weeks post. I planned to texlaxed my hair at 20 weeks post.

    PRE POO TREATMENT

More and more and loving doing a pre poo treatment with oils. In sections of four I applied an oil mix (Grape seed x Sesame seed x Coconut oil) to the length of my hair, concentration on my ends. For my scalp I used a different oil mix (Jamaican Black Castor x Coconut oil). I let the oils sit on my hair for about an hour.

    2014.11.23 WASHDAY

It was all about heat this washing routine. I’m planning to use heat (a hooded dryer or a steamer) regularly because of the cold weather. My hair had a good week. Almost every morning I moisturized with ORS HAIRepair Intense Moisture Crème. Why in the morning. Well I was lazy to moisturize my hair in the evening.

    Step 1

I started with a pre-poo oil treatment. I made a new oil mixture and I’m loving it – post about the mix coming soon – . In four sections I applied the oil. I really focused on my ends. I still suffering from split ends, it’s driving me CRAZY!! For some stimulation I applied Jamaican Black Castor Oil x Peppermint oil on my scalp. When applying the oil I massage my scalp. – when I was massaging my scalp I could feel my lovely new growth –  I used a hooded dryer for a hour.
