Wash day | June 13!
At this point I’m 18 weeks post relaxer and I debating with myself when I should get a relaxer. My new grow feels good, soft and manageable. Only the new growth at my edges and nape are rough, but I don’t mind that. But I’m looking for a regimen to fix the texture at my nape and edges – it’s kind of my problem area-
Shampoo treatment
I haven’t done a pre poo treatment for a while now, and it’s just because of the laziness – I need to stop being so lazy-. In two sections I washed my hair with Mizani Botanifying Conditioning Shampoo. During the wash I felt that my hair was over moisturized. – When your hair feels like an elastic band when stretching you know what time it is – -
Wash day | May 17 Moisture recovery!
Last week I did a protein treatment with ORS Hair Mayonnaise and I also did s search & destroy method. I started real strong with my treatment and at the ending I was slacking off. After a protein treatment it’s important to deep condition your hair with a moisture based product. I don’t know why but I decided to do a quick treatment with TRESemmé Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner. This is a light conditioner – perfect to co-wash with, but not for a deep condition –. But oke my hair felt good after I was done with the routine. After a view days I noticed that my hair really needed some moisture and what did I do …. Nothing – ugh -. Oke nothing is a strong word, but I didn’t moisturize my hair daily as I should do.
So with this was routine I decided that I will only use moisture based product.
Step 1
I started with a pre poo treatment using Organix Hydrating Macadamia Oil Conditioner. In small sections I applied the product to my hair. The product was left on my hair for 30 minutes without heat. -
Wash day | April 25!
My monthly regimen is a mess. As always I can’t remember when I use a clarifying shampoo for my wash. I knew it was that time again, but I didn’t want to clarify my hair – strange right– I was in battle with myself, because I really wanted to use a moisturized shampoo, but it was time to clarify.
Step [1]
The first step was washing my hair with ORS Olive Oil Creamy Aloe Shampoo for a light clarify treatment. Beside this shampoo I really don’t have a ‘legit’ clarifying shampoo – shopping soon 😉 –
I washed my hair once with the product and then followed up with Mizani Botanifying Conditioning Shampoo. I really like the texture of the Mizani Shampoo. During the wash I could easily finger detangle my hair and my hair was so soft.

The product junkie diary | S H A M P O O
It was time for me to make a list of my current products. Sometimes I ask myself why I have so many products – I don’t even use everything – . By making a list I will have a better view. Sometimes I forget that I even have a specific product
My goal is to finish my current products so I can make room for some new products, that I want to try out. Don’t get me wrong I am in love with some of the products. But there are some products that I need to say goodbye to.

Washday July 5
It’s been a long time that I wrote a blog post about my washday. So here is a quick update. To make a long story short I’m still slacking!! Moisturize and seal every night is still a fail and there are some nights that I didn’t cover my hair with a scarf. If I keep doing this, then I will never retain my length. I’m hoping that I will do better this month. Ohw I almost forgot. There have been some improvements. I deep conditioning with heat every week and did a dust & destroy method every month.
Step 1 I started with the Mizani Botanifying Conditioning Shampoo. In sections of 3 I washed my hair twice. I like how my hair feels after shampooing. This product gives my hair a nice balance. After the wash I did a quick light conditioner treatment with Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Conditoner. When applying the conditioner I also finger detangle my hair. I left the conditioner in for about 10 minutes and then rinse it out.
