For some months I have been using Mizani products for my regimen, but I was ready to explore a new products – I’m really a product junkie, can’t stick to one product – I knew that ORShad added some new products to their brand, and of course I wanted to try them out.
When I came across a shampoo from the Olive Oil line ‘Olive Oil Sulfate-free Hydrating Shampoo’I was immediately interested. Why? Well it’s a sulfate-free shampoo and it is hydrating. This product can help me with retaining moisture.
I have used the shampoo twice – March 19 & March 28 – now and let me tell you, ORS did there thing with this product. With both washes my hair was really dry. As soon I applied the product to my scalp and hair, it gave my hair a boost. For now I really don’t have nothing negative to say about this product.
I’m going use to use this shampoo for the coming two months, so that I can see what for benefits it will give my hair.
Are you familiar with this product? Then let me know what your experience is – the good and the bad –
I finally got the time to relax my hair at 21 weeks post. I planned to relax my hair last week, but due bad timing it wasn’t possible. I also wanted to do a protein treatment one week before, but I changed my mind and will do the treatment next week. So before the relaxer it didn’t prep my hair.
This time I wasn’t really happy with my new growth. The inches of growth was okay. But if look at the positive side, my new growth was soft and manageable. I could have stretch my hair for a longer period, but I want to stop at 20 weeks post.
While I’m writing this post I’m 7 weeks post relaxer – woow time flies by –. I always get a happy moment when it’s time to relax my hair. The biggest struggle that I have is after how many weeks am I going to relax. There has never been regular cycle for relaxing. This time I relaxed my hair after 22 weeks (5 months).
For relaxer treatment I used ORS no-lye formula in normal. I have been using this formula for years and it has never let me down!!
My hair really has different texture when it comes to new growth, so i try to be careful while relaxing. But I think I was too happy because my hair was sleek after the relaxer. Although I put some Almond Oil in the oil it felt like my hair was bone straight. – even my sister looked at me like girrrl did you bone straight your hair – I could definitely see and feel a difference between a lye and a no-lye relaxer. A lye relaxer gives my hair more texture, but a no-lye relaxer is more friendly for me to use. I’m happy that i switch back to the no-lye formula.
What are my G O A L S
I’m suffering from thin ends – ugh – In this coming cycle I’m going to concentrate on getting my ends even. I also want to relax my hair after 20 weeks. That means that the next relaxer will be in January .
After 22 weeks post it was finally time to relax my hair. I told myself I wasn’t going to stretch for more than 20 weeks, but hey here I am. Don’t get me wrong I love stretching my hair and see my hair grow. But after a while I couldn’t deal with the thickness :(.
As always I used ORS to relax my hair, but I went back to the no-lye relaxer. I had some difficulties using the lye relaxer. I also I didn’t like the end results when I used the lye relaxer. Yes, with the lye relaxer I achieved more texture, but the relaxing process was a bit difficult for me. But now I’m back the no-lye relaxer and yes I’m happy.
Normally Sunday is my washday, but I was free from work so I planned to wash my hair on Monday.
I don’t know why I keep on doing this. I haven’t been faithful to my regimen and my hair is screaming for help.
Step 1 I started the routine with a new shampoo that I bought in February ‘Mizani Moisturfusion Milk Bath’. This shampoo had the same smell as the conditioner. I washed my hair twice in sections. The shampoo has a nice feel on my hair. the texture of the shampoo feels like a light conditioner that you will to co-wash. This month I will be using this shampoo to see if it’s a keeper.
Step 2 After I t-shirt dried my hair – I left the t-shirt on my hair for about 30 minutes– I gently detangled my hair in four sections. I love my texlaxed hair. Thick – soft – fully hair … YES!! For detangling my hair I always use a shower comb. After that I went on with a protein conditioner. I applied ORSReplenishing Conditioner on my hair. I have been using this conditioner for yeaarrss and it has never let me down!! I was feeling lazy, but I told myself NO be serious – lool sometimes I need to check myself-. It’s been a will that I did the DIY hair steaming method. – I will do a separate post bout this method-. I deep condition my hair with heat for 30 minutes.
That moment that you planned your day for your wash routine anddd then you become lazy -_- What it happened was * lool *. I wanted to do ‘hard’ protein treatment with Aphogee two-step protein treatment, record my search destroy method and do a length check. Eeuhmm well it didn’t go as planned.
Last week I flat ironed my hair for an family occasion that I went to. Euuhmm I did something bad. I flat ironed my hair again, Sunday before I went to church. I’m slacking .. big time.
Before the wash I did a search and destroy method. This is a method to get rid of split ends. So far I’m doing a good job, doing this method monthly J. One of myhair problems is the fact that I have thin ends, so I’m taking baby step to solve it.
