I cut my relaxed hair at home to bring back healthy hair!
In my previous post I mentioned that I was dealing with breakage especially in my crown area. My hair was growing, but the length in middle was not matching up. Also I have been in a nasty funk when it comes to my hair. I wasn’t pleased with any hair style, so I knew it was time for a change. It’s time to cut my relaxed hair.
“Before the cut”
A while ago I planned to trim my hair every 8 weeks. Well even with that I was slacking and noticed I was dealing with split ends. The combination of breakage + split ends = NOT THE BUSINESS
“Reality slapped me in the face”
Before the cut I was thinking of just doing my regular trim, so that I will get rid of the split ends. But when I was done with flat ironing my hair and saw the gab in middle, reality slapped me in the face.
I knew I needed to cut my relaxed hair, because gradually trimming my hair would have slow down the health of my hair.
It maybe sound weird, but I was excited about this cut. Like I mentioned before I wasn’t feeling my hair and desperately needed a change. On Instagram I have been gushing over silk pressed hair or blunt shoulder length hair styles.
I’m in need of a change, so shoulder length hair, here I am.
How did I do with cutting my own hair?
