Wash-day is in full effect, because my scalp is in need for some TLC. I’m ready to wash my scalp and moisturize my hair with Creme of Nature Argan, but mainly my scalp. This week I didn’t apply on oil to my scalp every day. I wanted to give my scalp some rest and let my natural sebum do its work. Let’s start this wash routine by using Creme of Nature Argan Oil products.
Since last week I have been using Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginger. So far this shampoo is oke, but I’m not sold yet. After the wash I did a quick conditioning treatment with Redken Time Reset conditioner. In section applied the product on my hair. After 5/6 minutes I rinsed it out.
After drying my hair with a t-shirt I applied Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner mixed with macadamia, rosemary and peppermint oil. I deep condition with heat for 50 minutes. After that I let my hair cool off for 20 minutes.
Lately I don’t know what to do after a wash. I’m planning to stop with air drying for a while, but as usual I went for the air dry method. I used Creme of Nature Argan Oil Strength & Shine and Olive Oil & Mango Butter Leave-In H2 Conditioner.
I sealed my hair with John Frieda Frizz Ease serum and then styled my hair in a high bun.
It was time to relax my hair. I said the last time I wouldn’t stretch my relaxer more than 16 week, but damn it man I stretched for 25 weeks. There is nothing wrong with stretching your relaxer for so long, but I wanted to minimize it to 16-20 week. The last time I relaxed my hair I was 31 weeks post… yup 31 weeks.
I decided to relax my hair because it wasn’t manageable for me. The struggle was real when I tried to style my hair.
The week before I did a protein treatment to prepare my hair for the relaxer.
It’s time for the creamy crack !!!
I always prep my scalp for the relaxer. I part my hair in small section. Then I apply Vaseline on my scalp only. I grease my scalp because a Lye-relaxer is harsh on the scalp. Yup I said it!! I’m also thinking of switching back to a No-Lye relaxer. I will tell you why in a different blog post. But yeah.. after greasing my scalp I apply the relaxer on my new growth only. When the relaxer is applied I smooth out the new growth with my fingers. I only use my fingers to smooth out the new growth.
It was time for a protein treatment. In October I bought Creme of Nature Nourishing & Strengthening conditioner. – When I use a product for the first time I use it in its natural form, that means I don’t use any oil. – I will do a review about it really soon. I deep conditioned my hair for a long time (2 hours+). – I was catching up with For Better or Worse episodes.- Even though this is a protein treatment, my hair didn’t felt hard at all. My hair was really moist and soft. I need to do more research about this product. But so far so good.
I wrapped my hair with a t-shirt and let sit for about 20 minutes. In four section I moisturized my hair with Garnier Fructis Nutri Repair leave-in. Before I applied the leave-in I detangled my hair in four sections. I make sure my hair is about 50% dry. Detangling my hair when it’s still wet is a NO NO!!
I moisturized my hair with my hair lotion mix (ORS Hair Moisturizing Lotion + rosewater) and sealed with ORS HaiRepair Vital Oils. I decided to do a braid out in for sections, lool I do everything in for sections.
What are your experiences with Creme of Nature Nourishing & Strengthening conditioner?
Ugh i’m still slacking with my weekly hair routine. I think it’s time for a protective style, my dear friend the u-part wig lool.
–> I started with a pre-poo. For this pre-poo I used an oil mix (castor + olive oil). I will write a post about this mix. I pre-pooed for 30 minutes with heat. After the pre-poo my hair was so shiny.. my dead ends where a live again *happyface*
–> For my wash I used Creme of Nature Argan Oil Moisture & Shine Shampoo. I almost forgot about this shampoo. It’s is nice shampoo and it’s sulfate free.
Like 3 weeks ago I finally ordered pH Indicator Strips online. For the readers who are thinking pH strips?? For what? ?. Well it’s important to know what the pH balance of a product is. Why??
