Lye relaxer vs no-lye relaxer

For some time now I have been thinking about switching my relaxer. For years I have been using ORS no-lye relaxer and I love it .. don’t get me wrong .. but I have seen some ladies (my relaxed hair gurus on YouTube) using the lye relaxer. So I did a little research for myself to see what the differents  are between a lye and no-lye.

Based on the information that I read about both relaxers I decided to switch relaxer. Why?? Well I texlax my hair now .. soo I don’t relax my hair bone straight and I like the fact that the lye relaxer is not harsh on the individual hair strands. I hope that the lye relaxer will work out for me

Update on my relaxer (texlax)

Last week Sunday I relaxed (texlax) my hair. I was 24 weeks post  .. and it was about time 🙂 . I don’t know if my hair is really texlaxed … because I feel that my hair is more relaxed than texlaxed. Maybe I should have put more oil in the mixture. Next time I also need to pay more attention to the time.
