Wish ‘hair products’ list

Last year I made a list for myself about products that I wanted to try out. Unfortunately I’m a product junkie. I am always buying stuff and the bad thing is some I don’t even use. So the list was really helpful for me.

My list in 2013

The products that I bought:
–          Salerm Protein Shampoo
–          Creme of Nature Moisture Extreme conditioner
–          Mane N Tail Deep Moisturizing Conditioner
–          Creme of Nature Argan Oil Strength & Shine leave-in
–          Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter
–          Jamaican Black Caster Oil

I’m in love with some of the products, and when I say in love … ow boy I’m  hooked, lool. My number one love is the Elasta QP Olive Oil Mango Butter. This creme really .. really helped me.  I will do a review about it. And the second place goes to …….. Creme of Nature Moisture Extreme Conditioner. This conditoner … what!! Lool. I’m so glad that I found this conditioner.

From all the products that I purchased I’m not sure if I will buy Mane N Tail and Creme of Nature Argan Oil Strength & Shine leave-in again.

Cut cut cut 16 February ’14!!

The last time I trimmed my hair was in March’ 13. I was in shock when I looked up the date. This year I need to do better. I’m slacking with my regimen and it’s really showing. My problems are that I have uneven and thin ends.  The only way for me to correct it, is to cut my hair.

blog 2014.02.19 productsSaturday night before I went to bed. I prepped my hair. – Off course I washed my hair in the afternoon. See my recent post ‘wash day 15 February ’14’.-  I already applied Granier Fructis Nutri 3 leave –in when I was done washing my hair. I will say that my hair was about 50% dry in the evening. I sprayed Creme of Nature Argan Oil Strength & Shine Leave-in Conditioner all over my hair. I use this leave to give my hair some strength because I planned to flat iron my hair. I then used ORS Wrap/Set Mousse. To protect my hair I used John Frieda Frizz Ease serum. Two pumps of this product is just enough. I styled my hair in a low bun, put a scarf on and I was ready for bed. I didn’t apply any heat on my hair.

Wash day 15 February ‘14

2014.02.15 blog foto 1

So I finally decided to wash my hair. What I’m doing lately is really really bad. On February 9th I took down my u-part wig. It was two weeks already and my edges needed a break. But I was sooo tired that I really didn’t had the energy to go and wash my hair. So I told myself I will do it on Monday, after work * side eye *.

Step 1

The last time I clarify my hair was in September. I need to step my game up, but yeah it’s time to clarify my hair. For this routine I used ORS Olive Oil Creamy Aloe Shampoo. I sectioned my hair in 8 parts. Working in parts works for me. after the wash my hair was rough, this shampoo really clarifies. When I was done washing I applied Redken Real Control Conditioner for some boost. I’m starting to like this conditioner. It’s a light weight conditioner so I left in for 5 minutes.

2014.02.15 wash day (clarify)Step 2

For about 6 minutes I t-shirt dried my hair. In the mean time I mixed my conditioner with some oils (Creme of Nature Professional Moisture Extreme Conditioner with castor, grape seed, peppermint, rosemary oil and glycerine). I deep conditioned for 45 minutes with a hooded dryer. When I’m done conditioning I let my hair cool off for 5 minutes. This conditioner is definitely a K E E P E R.

Step 3

I always start late with my routine, I don’t know why I always do that. In the evening I had a date with my girlfriends. I applied Garnier Fructis Nutri repair 3 leave-in  all over my hair and without detangling my hair I put it in a high bun and I was ready to go. I didn’t use a lot of product because the next day I planned to flat iron my hair.

Washing your hair is always a good thing. I’m 18 weeks post and  I love how my new growth feels.

Wash day 25 January ’14

2014.01.25 Wash dayOne week has gone by and I’m ready for my protective style again. I live in the Netherlands and the weather here SUCKS!!! So to protect my lovey hair I will be rocking my u-part wig with a closure.

Step 1
I started my routine with a pre-poo oil treatment.  I used my oil mix (click on the link, to see what my pre-poo oil mix is). In small section I applied the oil on my scalp and hair. I make sure that I massage my scalp with the oil and concentrate on my ends. After that I used my hooded dryer for about 30 minutes. I love the way my hair feels after this treatment, it’s so shiny and my ends are alive again lool.

2014.01.18 Wash day

For the past 4 weeks I have been wearing my u-part wig with a closure. Hahaha let me tell you .. I was so afraid for the closure. I bought the closure last year in March and I finally decided to use it. I will write a post about how I maintain my hair with a u-part wig.

When I do this protective style I make sure that I was my hair every two weeks. So yesterday  was time for a wash.
