Wash Routine For Relaxed Hair

Saturday 23 December

13 weeks post relaxer

I’m trying to hold on to the same wash routine as the week goes on. Sticking to one brand, each month!

STEP 1 | PRE-POO
To start my routine I began with pre-pooing my hair with my Aloe Vera mix. In sections of four I sprayed the mixture to my hair and let it sit for 30 minutes. This is my second time using this mixture and so far I like it.

STEP 2 | SHAMPOOING
Time to rinse the mixture out of my hair. Again when I was rinsing my hair I notice that the hair loss was minimal. For washing my hair I used Aunt Jackie’s Oh So Clean Moisturizing & Softening Shampoo. It’s my second time using this shampoo and to be honest, it’s oohkey!

STEP 3 | DEEP CONDITION
I had some errands to do, so I wasn’t able to deep condition my hair right after washing. When I had the time to deep condition my hair was almost dried up. Well that didn’t stop me! In sections of four I applied Aunt Jackie’s In Control Moisturizing & Softening Conditioner. Listen!! This product is a keeper. It really is a moisturizing conditioner.

Review | Aunt Jackie’s In Control Conditioner

After applying the conditioner to my hair I sealed my hair with Castor Oil. Normally I mix the oil with the conditioner, but I wanted to try something different. I sat under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes and after that rinsed the product out my hair. My hair was soft and full, just the way I like it.

STEP 4 | LEAVE-IN
There was a bit of my Aloe Vera mixture left. So I used it as my leave-in. styled my hair in high tight bun and let my hair air-dry.

For the coming weeks I’m going to focus on my new growth. I’m 13 weeks post relaxer, but I’m not happy with my new inches.

The journey to healthy thick hair continues!
