Wash Routine | Relaxed Hair
Wash day Saturday 6 January
First I want to wish my #DiaryReaders a happy, joyfull, blessed New Year!! May this year be your glow up and continue to live out your goals!!
My first post in the New Year is a wash post. Let’s start the year with a good wash and may this year be full with wonderful & helpful content!
STEP 1 | PRE-POO
To start the routine I sprayed my Aloe Vera mixture all over my hair. This time I sprayed a lot to my hair. My hair was dry and extra dull. I have been slacking with co-washing my hair and sleeping without a scarf. I planned to leave the mixture on for 30 minutes …. But yeah I got caught with other stuff.
STEP 2 | SHAMPOO
After hours and hours doing other stuff, I found the time to shampoo my hair. I missed using ORS Monoi Oil Anti-Breakage Fortifying Shampoo so for this wash I had to use it! In sections of four I shampooed my hair twice.
First Impression | ORS Monoi Shampoo
This shampoo is the truth!
To soak the excess water I used a cotton t-shirt.
STEP 3 | DEEP CONDITION
For the last past weeks I have been using Aunt Jackie’s In Control Moisturizing & Softening Conditioner. Going back to an old deep conditioner habit, mixing Castor Oil, Peppermint Oil & Rosemary Oil to the conditioner. While I applying to my hair, I was getting annoyed with my ends, so I did a little trim. After applying the mixture to my hair, I sat under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes.
Say hello to moisturized hair!
STEP 4 | LEAVE-IN
Keeping this process real simple. I sprayed my Aloe Vera mix all over my hair and styled it in a high bun, so that it can air-dry.
For the coming weeks my focus will be on using Castor Oil to stimulate growth. I have some weeks left be for I will texlax my new growth.
The journey to healthy thick hair continues!
Healthy Hair Journey,
E. Starr
