small strands hair breakage

I have been doing good when it comes to moisturizing my hair during the week. This week I noticed that even when my hair was nicely moisturized, I still had some breakage. Small hair strands breakage om to be precise.

Yes, the moisture part is going good, now the protein part. Your hair needs to have the right moisture / protein for it to be healthy.

Last week I bought some protein based hair products and I can’t wait to use them with this wash.

Step 1 | Pre-Poo
One of the new hair goodies that I bought is Redken All Soft Conditioner. Let’s see is this condiotioner can help me with my small strands breakage. This is the first time using the conditioner. As I was adding the product to my hair, I could feel that my hair reacted positive. The product penetrate into my hair real good.

I sat under the hooded dryer for 15 minutes. My hair felt good and there was no hair loss when I ran my fingers to my hair.

Step 2 | Shampoo
For washing my hair I used KeraCare Detangling Shampoo. My hair already felt soft because of the pre-poo treatment. I shampooed my hair twice in sections of two. With a cotton t-shirt I wrapped my hair to get rid of the excess water.

As I writing this post, I’m mad at myself, because I didn’t make any picture. My hair looked GOOD, it was shiny and my new growth was nicely curly.

Step 3 | Deep condition
I followed up with KeraCare Humecto Crème Conditioner. Because of time, I didn’t add any oils to the conditioner. In sections of two I applied the conditioner to my hair and then with my Denman brush detangled my hair.

This conditioner really feels like a moisturizer

I had to be out the house in 30 minutes, so I wasn’t apply to do my no rmal  deep condition routine. So I sat under my hooded dryer for 10 minutes. Even though it was short, but my hair still felt like butter.

Step 4 | Leave-in
With this routine I used an old goodie CHI Keratin Mist. This is a protein based leave-in, but it doesn’t make my hair hard at all. I sprayed the mist all over my hair and follow up with Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Leave-in and sealed my hair with Macadamia oil.

I have missed this product!

Because I had to handle some business outside the house, I brushed my hair in a bun hair style and went on with my day.
