Retouching your new growth at 20 weeks post relaxer
I have been waiting for this day. My new growth was ready for a touch up. Stretching for 20 weeks was enough, because my new growth needed to be laid.
Step 1 | protect the scalp
When I was done with detangling my hair and sectioned it in four parts, I based my scalp with DAX Vegetable Oils Pomade for a protecting layer. When I was done with my scalp I applied Dax to the length of my hair. -
Let gets moisturize with Creme of Nature Argan Oil
Wash-day is in full effect, because my scalp is in need for some TLC. I’m ready to wash my scalp and moisturize my hair with Creme of Nature Argan, but mainly my scalp. This week I didn’t apply on oil to my scalp every day. I wanted to give my scalp some rest and let my natural sebum do its work. Let’s start this wash routine by using Creme of Nature Argan Oil products.

Flat iron relaxed hair with some basic steps!
I can’t remember when was the last time I flat iron my hair. You know that I like to air-dry my hair most of the time, but with this wash routine I wanted to flat iron my relaxed hair. For order to get the best results there are some specific steps that I take.

Let’s fight this small strands of hair breakage
I have been doing good when it comes to moisturizing my hair during the week. This week I noticed that even when my hair was nicely moisturized, I still had some breakage. Small hair strands breakage om to be precise.
Yes, the moisture part is going good, now the protein part. Your hair needs to have the right moisture / protein for it to be healthy.

Wash day | May 14!
For the last two weeks I have been wearing my wig as a protective style. I’m trying to leave my hair alone and protect it from the weather. So far I’m holding on. Before I started with the protective style I did a protein treatment, two weeks ago, to strengthen my hair. I planned to wear my wig for another 3 weeks – I hope I can manage, after a while I miss my hair – .
At this moment I’m 18 weeks post relaxer
Pre-poo treatment
For a while I wanted to do a pre-poo ‘oil’ treatment with my steamer. I applied vitamin E oil mixed with a little bit of Jojoba oil all over my hair and scalp. Normally I would use Castor or Coconut oil, but I wanted to try something different. I used the Huetiful Hair Steamer for the treatment. After the treatment the front of my hair felt soft, but the back felt a bit stiff – weird -, I need to play with using Vitamin E oil for a pre-poo treatment-. -
Relaxer | January 10!
With every stretch I tell myself that I won’t go further than 18 weeks post, but here I’m again at 24 weeks post relaxer. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with stretching for a long period of time – I have been doing that for the longest – but I wanted to try something different and see how my hair will react.
With every stretch my focus has been with retaining my length. At times I’m still dealing the extreme breakage and split ends. Like sometimes I will talk to my hair and ask “Can I get a break?” and living in the Netherlands doesn’t help either – the weather is pissing me off- but on the positive note, I’m happy with my new growth. I’m transitioning from relaxed hair (bone straight texture) to texlaxed hair (semi straight hair).
