Flat iron relaxed hair with some basic steps!
I can’t remember when was the last time I flat iron my hair. You know that I like to air-dry my hair most of the time, but with this wash routine I wanted to flat iron my relaxed hair. For order to get the best results there are some specific steps that I take.
Step 1 | Scalp scrub
New month, so I had to start off with exfoliating my scalp. I make my own scalp scrub and I love it. It really get my scalp clean. Whenever I detox my scalp it feels like it can breathe again.

Step 2 | Shampoo
Although I used a scrub on my scalp, I still used a shampoo to get the rest of my hair clean. To follow up with washing I used Mizani Puriphying Intense Cleansing Shampoo. This is an oldie from the past. I only used this shampoo once and then continued with SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Shampoo for some hydration.
After washing my hair felt clean and soft. The SheaMoisture shampoo is really a nice shampoo that softens my hair.
Step 3 | Deep condition
Because of the detoxing and clarifying it was time to bring back some hydration to my hair. In sections I applied SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Conditioner. This conditioner is great for hydration. I sat under the hooded dryer for 30 minutes.

Step 4 | Blow drying & flat ironing process
Now I’m done with cleaning and getting the hydration back into my hair, It’s time for some flat iron preparation. So before flat ironing my relaxed hair, I use specific products to protect my hair.
First I sprayed my hair with CHI Keratin Mist for some protein, then I sprayed Andrelon heat protect spray and finished with ApHogee Gloss Therapy Polisher. In four sections I blow dried my hair and when my hair was 100% dry I proceeded with flat ironing.
My hair felt light and I only had to do one pass. For those that are interested in my process I filmed my routine, just need to edit it and post it on my channel
