Yeah boooy *flavorflavvoice! 20 weeks of stretching my relaxer is over and I can finally relax a.k.a. texlax my new growth.
wash day which conditioner to useIn the morning I was all gassed up for my wash routine. I started my day with going to the gym and do some groceries. When I came home, I start thinking of which products to use and there is where I got stuck. Because of my last week wash routine I wanted to make sure that I only used products that have moisturizing elements.
I enjoyed using ApHogee Deep Moisture Shampoo last week, so why not using it again. This time I didn’t part my hair in sections. While I was shampooing my hair I made sure to really focus on getting my scalp clean. My work-out in the morning had my scalp sweating. After two rounds of shampooing I rinsed my hair with lukewarm water. Before I get ready for the next step I cover my hair with a t-shirt and t-shirt dry my hair for 20 minutes.
Normally I know which conditioner I want to use, but this time I was lost. You know that my focus is on moisturizing my hair. So with that in mind I had to use Creme of Nature Pure Honey Moisturizing Dry Defense conditioner. To give the conditioner an extra boost, I added some oils (Castor oil, Jojoba oil and Peppermint oil). In sections of four I applied the conditioner to my hair, concentrating on my new growth, nape and edges.
Without heat I let the conditioner sit for 30 minutes.
Let’s continue with using moisturizing elements. After t-shirt drying for 30 minutes I applied Creme of Nature Pure Honey Knot Away Leave-in Detangler. Although I don’t need help with detangling my hair, I like this product because of the thickness. Concentrating on my ends I applied the leave-in to my hair and sealed with Jojoba oil.
I didn’t have any plans, so I just combed out my hair and let it air dry.
My wash routine started a little bit off, but baybey at the end my hair felt sooo good. I really believe that adding the oils to the conditioner really gave my hair some extra TLC. During air-drying I ran my fingers through my hair and let me tell you. My hair felt so soft and thick!
Which moisturizing conditioner did you use lately?
A proud moment! I hold on to stretching my hair for 20 weeks, but now is time to texlax my hair. My new growth is nice and thick. Although I was ready to texlax my hair, there was one problem. I washed my hair a few days ago, so when I decided to process my hair I still had clean scalp.
