WASH ROUTINE | RELAXED HAIR
Wash day | November 4!
Do you know what time it is? Its protein time!!! Men I can’t believe that since I relaxed my hair on September 16, I haven’t done a protein treatment. The goal is to use a protein conditioner every month. I need to step my game up, because my hair is really suffering.
STEP 1 | SHAMPOO
To start the process I used ORS Monoi Oil Anti-Breakage Fortifying Shampoo. In four sections I shampooed my hair. I wasn’t able to co-wash my hair during the week, but there was less hair loss during the wash.
When I was done with washing, I wrapped my hair with a cotton t-shirt and let sit for 10 minutes. My hair felt good. This shampoo really is a keeper. It smells good, makes my hair soft and bouncy!
STEP 2 | CONDITION
To give my hair the strength that it needs I used ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment. This is a ‘hard’ protein that can be used every 6 weeks. In sections of four I applied the product to my hair. Good to know that time around I used a spray bottle, because it is a liquid formula.
Tutorial | Protein Treatment for Relaxed Hair ft. ApHogee
After applying the product I used a blow dryer to warm up the product. The end result is that your hair will be hard. Please don’t comb your hair! With lukewarm water I rinsed the product out.
Normally you have to use ApHogee Balancing Moisturizer, but I finished the bottle. So I used Garnier Loving Blends Honey Repairing Conditioner for moisture. This is also another product that I’m loving!
STEP 3 | LEAVE-IN
I wrapped my hair with a cotton t-shirt, after 30 minutes or so I used Cantu Argan Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream and used African Pride Olive Miracle Strengthening Growth Oil for sealing. As usual I clip my hair up and let it air-dry.
Glad that I did this protein treatment, because I was suffering from breakage. Especially on the left side I noticed more hair loss. If I really want to retain my length, then I need to better with my protein treatments. For now I will be using ApHogee to strengthen my hair.
The journey to healthy thick hair continues!
