Wash routine | Relaxed hair
Saturday 2 December
Let the drama continue! The laziness is kicking in. For the last two days the before the wash routine I have been sleeping without a scarf. For me it is a must to protect my hair with a satin scarf. So please, can anybody ask me ‘why I’m doing the opposite?’ When in was detangling my hair I was crying from the inside, because of my hair loss.
STEP 1 | PRE-POO
Just like last week, I started my routine with an oil treatment. For now I’m using Coconut Oil. In sections of four I applied the oil to my ends and scalp. To speed up the process I sat under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes.
STEP 2 | SHAMPOO
To get my hair clean I used ORS Monoi Oil Anti-Breakage Fortifying Shampoo. This shampoo is definitely a keeper. I almost finished the bottle, so I need to replace it with a new bottle ASAP! While I wash shampooing my hair felt really good and the hair loss was minimal.
STEP 3 | CONDITION
Hello stranger! I was in need for a moisturizing conditioner,so I had to turn to Aunt Jackies In Control Conditioner. In sections of four I applied the conditioner to my hair and then sat under the hooded dryer.
Yes, the hooded dryer is back. I love the Huetifull Hair Steamer, but I missed using a dryer.
STEP 4 | LEAVE-IN
To continue with moisturizing my hair I followed up with Cantu Argan Oil Leave-in Conditioning Repair Cream. This wasn’t my first choice, but I had to air-dry my hair. I’m trying to stay away from air-drying, because of the cold weather.
To be honest I’m bored with my hairstyles and want to leave my hair alone. With the next wash routine I need to think of a protective hair style. What will it be, braids or weave?!
The journey to healthy thick hair continues!
