Clarifying – protein treatment
I’m still protective styling with a wig. During the week I made sure that I applied an oil – Almond Oil – to my edges and nape. Because of my birthday my sister took me on a spa date. I planned not to get my hair wet, but who was I kidding. My wig got wet and because of the weight, it pulled down my wig. Because of the pulling my edges was extra sensitive – ugh -.
Sunday afternoon I took off my wig and braids. I let my scalp breath for the whole day. Monday was washday – sometimes you got to switch it up –
Step 1
The last time I clarified my hair was a month and view weeks ago. That is not keeping up with my monthly regimen – the plan is every 4 weeks -. In small sections I shampooed my hair with Mizani Puriphying Shampoo. After the second was I wrapped my hair with a cotton t-shirt.
Step 2
Just like last time I used Mizani Kerafuse Intense Strengthening Treatment. I condition my hair for a long time, more than 2 hours – that’s what you get when watching a movie -.
Step 3
I was supposed to do a moisturizing treatment, but yeah laziness got me. After rinsing out the protein treatment I sprayed my hair with Mizani D’tangle moisturizing milk and let my hair air dry. When my hair was 50% dry I applied Cantu Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream and sealed with Macadamia Natural Healing Oil Treatment. Because I didn’t do a moisture treatment I made sure that I used enough moisturizing leave in products.
The next morning my hair wasn’t completely dry so I had to blow dry. After that I moisturized my hair with ORS Hair Lotion and Elasta QP Olive oil & Mango Butter moisturizer. For sealing I used Almond Oil. To complete my routine I had to oil my scalp with Jamaican Black Castor Oil.
I went right back with protecting my hair with a wig. With the next wash routine I need to change my style, because of my edges. I need to make sure that I don’t damage my edges.
