Wash routine

relaxed hair aka texlaxed hair

Since my relaxer I noticed more hair falling out than normal – shedding & breakage – . Yeah shedding is normal, but this last week it was too much for my liking and the breakage was crazy. I know I need to step up with the protein treatment.

Pre-poo treatment

Before washing my hair I started with an oil treatment. I made a mix of Coconut oil with 1 tps. Olive oil. The oil was applied all over my hair and scalp. I love using an oil for my pre-poos. I did this treatment more than 2 hours.

Wash treatment
In sections of 2 I washed my hair with ORS HAIRepair Invigorating Shampoo. Right after the wash I applied Aphogee Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor – this product is a gentle protein conditioner -. I let the product sit for 5 minutes and then rinse it out.

Deep condition treatment
For the condition part I used ORS HaiRepair Nourishing Conditioner. I planned to use my hair steamer, so I made sure my hair was nicely covered with the product

After steaming my hair was beautifully moist – that’s why I love using a steamer -.

Leave-in treatment
I haven’t use this cream in a while, so it was time for the Cantu Butter Argan Oil Leave-in Condition Repair Cream. To seal my hair I used the same oil mix from my pre-poo treatment – Coconut oil x 1tps Olive oil. I put my hair in a high bun, so that I could air-dry.

When my hair was about 80% dry I moisturized my left side with Olive Oil Incredibly Rich Moisturizing Hair Lotion and on my right side with Aunt Jackie’s Curl La La defining curl Custard. I was going for a braid out style, so I wanted to see which product was the best to use. Please keep in mind that these are two different products, but for me it was about the moisture.
